It is important to know that a domain name becomes inactive immediately after the expiration of the registered period.
After the expiration date, the status of the domain changes from Active to Expired.
The registrant has a grace period of 30 days to renew the domain name registration. If the domain is renewed during this period, the expiration date is extended by one year from the original expiration date.
If the domain is not renewed within 30 days after expiration, it will be deleted from the national internet domain registry. Consequently, the registrant loses "ownership" of the domain name, and it becomes available for registration by others.
It is recommended to renew the domain name before its expiration date. The maximum renewal period is 10 years.
